About Happy 50 Plus

Our Story: A Journey of Growth

Founded in 2018 by a group of passionate professionals in the medical and health industries, the association was born out of a recognized need. As first-generation immigrants themselves, the founders saw firsthand the struggles their aging community members faced—isolation, language barriers in hospitals, and a lack of culturally relevant health education.

Starting with small seminars, the organization has grown exponentially. By 2025, they have organized over 20 major seminars and workshops, benefiting approximately 8,000 participants in the Calgary Chinese community. Their growth reflects a transition from a small volunteer group to a structured non-profit that serves as a vital "trust bridge" between government health resources and the Chinese senior community.
